The Scientific Committee will be appointed by the council and will consist of the President, the President Elect, the Honorary Secretary and eight members of the association, or such greater numbers as the Committee shall from time to time determine. The Committee will be responsible for drawing up a programme for the Annual Scientific Meetings and for selecting proffered papers. The proceedings of the Committee will be fully reported back to the council. The council will nominate a Chairman each year, who will generally be the local organiser of the next scientific meeting and who will remain a council member for the year following the year of his Chairmanship to allow for continuity. The Committee will elect its own Secretary. Membership of the Scientific Committee will be reconsidered each year, in relation to the work to be done for the forthcoming Annual Scientific Meeting.
